About me

I majored in music as an orchestra violinist - which means translating text into sound -, but as my interests are so many I started making translations already more than 10 years ago. Also, since I have always been surrounded by English speaking friends and colleages, translating often was just the obvious thing to do. Thus, it so happened that I had already translated 3 complete books before I ever entered the official translation business.

I prefer to translate from English into Dutch as Dutch is my native language, so that is the one I write best. A supple, clear and precise style that is easy to read characterises my translations, even if the language of the original text is highly complex.

Although I have expertise in many subjects, I excell in language that requires creative solutions, like spoken language in literature or spiritual and philosophical texts that try to express the unspeakable.
